ANCHOR SPLASH

Anchor Splash is a fun and exciting swim meet for fraternities, sororities, residence halls, campus organizations, or anyone who is a Rutgers University student. The actual races are fun and require very little skill. Any one who can swim can particpate!

The purpose of this event is to raise money for the Delta Gamma philanthropy, Service for Sight. All of the money raised is donated directly to the Delta Gamma foundation, and in turn benefits organizations such as the Art of the Eye, and The Seeing Eye in Morristown, as well as scholarships for students with impaired vision.

DANCE MARATHON

Dance Marathon is a University wide, student run event. Students spend 32 hours awake and on their feet in order to show their support for the Embrace Kids Foundation helping kids with Cancer and Blood Disorders. This year Rutgers, as a community, raised $318,989.08 (almost $100,000 more than 2007) for the foundation. Delta Gamma helped by raising $31,000 of that money. Making this their 8th year in a row raising the most money. You do NOT have to be Greek to take part in this event but dancing with your sisters is an experience never to be forgotten!
